When I was only six years old or so, while waiting for the school bus to pick me up, I was flipping through the channels to see what was interesting on TV. Then I saw a channel that had the Fuji TV news at 7 AM. I found the news from Japan very interesting, and that's basically how my interest in Japan all began.

On a Monday in 1995, when I was flipping through the channels, I saw the opening sequence of an animated program called Sailor Moon. I said, "Hmm, this is interesting," and watched the first show. That's how my interest in Anime all started.

I've been involved with Radio since finding the station in the fall of 2002. I started doing bumper and intro recordings that December, and in 2003 I was named to the station staff.

My involvement with radio gave me the courage to open up my own Internet radio station dedicated to Sailor Moon music. After a year and a half on Live365, I closed it down, and Kei offered me a show of my own. And so started the "JRHorse Side Project", a weekly radio show that features my favorite Anime and J-Pop music and artists, all with a "New York Twist."

I am a college graduate who spent two weeks in June of 2004 visiting the country where our dearly beloved Anime is born. I hope to return to Japan for a second trip very soon!

Favorite Anime/J-Music Bands: Too Many To List Here =(
Favorite Non-Japanese Bands: Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd

Keiichi-san got into Anime in the original days of Voltron and the such showing on Television, but due to living in the backwoods of Illinois at the time, the love was lost when all that stuff dissapeared from Television. Then, after living in Dallas, TX for a while, he picked up a copy of this Anime called "Oh! My Goddess!" from a local Sci-Fi store. This was in 1997. He was instantly hooked and suddenly he was collecting everything in sight, trying to catch up for the 18 or so years that he's been lacking it. Four years later, Radio was born, the true shrine to all otaku-dom!

I like games. No, that's pretty much it. I like games. A lot. So I spend pretty much all my free time playing them, talking about them, and, as you might have guessed, collecting and listening to their soundtracks. But I'm not just into video games. Pretty much any kind of game is fine by me. I like card games, board games, tabletop games, pool games, I'd probably even like sports if I were any good at them (I'm not). Other than that, I like anime, and music, which is pretty much why I'm here. Oh, and women. They're fun, too.

When I was 10 years old, I saw this weird show about robots that fought alongside humans. I would stay up until 2 a.m. every night just to watch this show (Zoids), and after that I was hooked on anime. I started renting shows and buying anything that I could find. Later I moved into the Jmusic scene… which eventually led me to KNR around late 2003. I heard that they were going to appear at Ushicon, so I went and decided to volunteer. Kei has not been able to get rid of me since…

Thirty cons and a countless number of sleepless hours later, I'm still here ready and willing to help the KNR crew out!

Lets see... My story with anime.... Begun long time ago I used to Watch Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball as a small child, I never knew it was "Japanese animation" Until some time later, this was because the openings and all the songs were translated to Spanish or English. But, the time I first listened to a Japanese song came with Digimon and The Vision of Escaflowne, back then I was like 12 or 13 Years old my skin send shivers up my spine with the evolution themes on Digimon (you can laugh, but I was so thrilled when I listened to it) and I fell in love with the opening song from The Vision of Escaflowne. That was the first time I listened to Maaya's voice and I will never forget it I felt in love instantly with her voice.

Many years go by and I started to watch more and more anime, I discovered old series I liked to actually be anime and I was amazed by that, so once I finally got Broadband I started downloading Japanese Music slowly... First the Evolution Themes From Digimon, then the music from the series I liked and finally in a later stage I started to like certain Artists. For Exampe, Maaya Sakamoyo... I had her entire Discography... I wish I will be able to actually watch her perform live sometime and to buy her music for real ^^.

You know, that's the main problem of living in South America, I love my country but we are often left to the side in terms of new and cool stuff. Its fun and yet ironic because everything I like its not available down here u.u. And since I'm not older enough for a credit card YET its difficult u.u

Anyway enough ranting, I begun djing for the first time in my life in Hikari Radio (actually I begun with an offline radio where we upload episodes each week and take turns to dj) and since then I'm loving every minute of it =D. And now I'm here on Keiichinet Radio ^^!.

Its fun because once you turn a dj you start downloading music like crazy, in 3 months my music collection grew from 7 GB up to 20!.

And finishing this (because I nearly wrote my entire life here LOL!) I'm studying to became an Airline pilot, its a huge and a very high (literally) dream... its a long career really :s longer than its supposed to be here, but its the price of doing something I like and I enjoy doing.
